Zoid:
Name: Kentros
Type: Kentrosaurous (modified)
Length: 17.3 metres
Height: 9.5 metres
Weight (unloaded): 90 tonnes (metric)
Max take-off weight: 100 tonnes (metric)
Width: 6.1 metres
Unit cost (Ammunition excluded): 768 Million C
Armament:
M-02 90mm AZ Rifle: This three metre twin barreled rifle sits in the main turret upon the neck of the Zoid. With a firing rate of 60 shots per minute, this weapon can punch 332 millimetres deep into bunker grade steel at 3 kilometres. It suffers from a low gun elevation and depression because of the loading mechanism, preventing it's use effectively on sloped ground.
N240 Plasma Cannon: A high velocity energy weapon, this weapon is strictly line-of-sight for mass property destruction. Mounted into the muzzle, this weapon flies in a perfectly straight line and doesn't follow a ballistic trajectory, limiting it's range to approximately 13 kilometres before it gains too much altitude to endanger ground units. It's destructive potential though is equal to about a metric tonne of TNT.
Spine Missiles The Kentro's spines are in fact long range ballistic missiles, capable of detonating on impact with an enemy zoid or merely impaling them upon the ballistic steel. The Zoid is capable of regenerating these on a permament basis, giving it a near limitless source of ammuition. These missile spines are extremely accurate and long ranged.
2x Beast Slayer: These 8 metre long blades mounted to the front leg joints on either side are designed for the sole purpose of impaling enemy units. They are capable of penetrating any known armour and impaling whatever happens to get in the way when this unit charges.
Tailblade: The tail of this unit features a retractable 5 metre long energy blade for close combat, similar to a blade liger's primary swords.
Survivability:
Close In Weapons System: The Kentro is equipped with a Laser CIWS system, capable of destroying enemy shells in flight before they impact. Has only only limited use against beam weaponary and no use against laser attacks, however.
On-board systems:
Smoke Launcher: This unit is equipped with four 3-pack smoke grenade launchers working in tandem to cover the unit visually. Two of these launchers fire thermal smoke, which also protects the unit from thermal vision. Limited to three deployments.
Top Speed/Acceleration: 170kph/45kph/sec
Armour: 392mm Tungsen Carbide/Ceramic Composite (Kevlar Spall Liner)
Sensor Range: 10 kilometres (Ground/air; Dome)

Zoid:
Name: König Wolf
Type: Wild Wolf (modified)
Length: 21.24 metres
Height: 8.64 metres
Weight (unloaded): 90.5 tonnes (metric)
Max take-off weight: 100.5 tonnes (metric)
Width: 6.2 metres
Unit cost (Ammunition excluded): 700 million C
Armament:
60mm S-290 AZ Laser cannon: Mounted in the muzzle is a short barreled rapid fire laser rifle with a fire rate of 120 rounds per minute. It's beams are capable of melting through any armour with enough direct hits. Calibre is the diametre of the laser beam.
40-pod 60mm Missile launcher: Mounted under the main body, this missile launcher fires out submunition missiles accurate to six kilometres. 20 metres above their target, they detonate, showering the ground below with a massive hail of high explosive bomblets that devastates the target area.
Strike claws: The two forward legs of this unit have been outffitted with laser striking claws.
Survivability:
Electronic Warfare: As the Command unit of the team, this unit comes equipped with ECM and ECCM suites, along with it's TOS gear. It's also equipped with an EM pulse generator, while small in size, it's capable of 'flipping out' and destroying enemy missiles and computer guided shells midflight if activated in range. In addition, this can also temporarily disable enemy targeting systems, forcing them to fire blind.
On-board systems:
Target Override System: This piece of Electronic Warfare equipment is capable of cracking the signals sent between targetting computer and missile before launch, forcing the computer of a enemy unit to lock onto the Konig wolf instead of the intended target. This can cause malfuncitions in the missile racks of enemy units as they try to fire without a target locked.
Smoke Launcher: This unit is equipped with four 3-pack smoke grenade launchers working in tandem to cover the unit visually. Two of these launchers fire thermal smoke, which also protects the unit from thermal vision. Limited to three deployments.
Top Speed/Acceleration: 290kph/60kph/sec
Armour: 250mm Tungsen/ceramic composite. (Kevlar spall liner)

Zoid:
Name: Raynos
Type: Pteranodon (Modified)
Length: 17.3 metres
Height: 7.3 metres
Weight (unloaded): 25 tonnes (metric)
Max take-off weight: 30.3 tonnes (metric)
Width: 15 metres
Unit cost (Ammunition excluded): 800 million C
Armament:
5 barreled Pulse Beam Cannon: Regarded as the Raynos' primary armament, this laser cannon system can rip into enemy units and deal serious damage in a short period of time. However, the weapon itself is fairly small in calibre and can only act as a support weapon in it's damage dealing capabilities.
203mm Ballistic Missiles: Carrying 8 of these devastating armaments, this missile is capable of striking a stop sign from 40 kilometres away, and can track it's target visually, by laser paint, by thermal or UV tracking, or by radar lock. It's extremely high velocity employing it's own scramjet and carries a Plasma Fuel Air Explosive charge with force equal to 1.1 tonnes of TNT.
75mm Autocannon: This anti-aircraft gun is mounted to the underside nose and fires just over 200 rounds per minute.
Survivability:
Head Mounted Twin Turreted .50cal Machine guns; 270 degree rotating muzzle mounted point defence machine guns for anti-missile and close in emergency duty. Ammunition hoppers limited to 2500 rounds each. Computer controlled.
ECM: Two 3 metre long blade antennas mounted to the head in place of ears, provide the unit with Electronic Countermeasures, disrupting radar and sensor information, and extending the time required for missile and weapon locks to be established, sometimes by as much as 30 seconds. Enemy radar can give an approximate location when this system is active, providing an inaccuracy ratio of nearly 500 metres in any direction
On-board systems:
Flare and Chaff dispenser; Emergency use device which deploys Infrared flares and radar baffling reflecting alumnuim strip 'chaff' for use in avoiding missiles with sharp dodging and direction changes. Mounted in the tail and hind legs, restricted to six deployments due to size of the hoppers.
Top Speed/Acceleration: 3300 KIAS (mach 3.3)/400 KIAS/sec
Armour: 97mm Ceramic plate
Sensor Range: 40 kilometres (Dome)

Team History:
Team Echo was set up out of a collapsed freelance outfit. Thomas Echo, the team's commander was third in command of the Blue Hawks, a meduim scale combat outfit. With leadership problems late in his service with the outfit, a large section of the force muntinied. With not enough support to resist the new faction, calling themselves the Reborn Hawks, the lead three commanders agreed to break apart from one another, split the faction's resources between one another and escape. While they still maintain contact, the group is well aware that if they ever meet together, the reformed Hawk force will probably engage to destroy them for their so called betrayal.
With an impressive amount of start up capital available to him, he decided the best thing he could do was stay in the public eye, knowing that even those who had taken over the Hawks faction weren't stupid enough to try and take him 'illegally', and so he declared his Commision and Team Echo had begun, for what it was worth. He had no transport, one zoid and no extra ordnance.
His first offical combat was a huge risk. A higher ranked team had challenged him to an equal numbers battle. Without any spare ammo or ability to repair his extremely rare unit, if he lost, that would be the end of him. But without much choice, he took the chance, going into lone one on one combat against a Zabre Fang kitted with missiles and a small array of lasers. His EM fields kept the missiles at bay while he crippled and then destroyed the Zabre rather brutually. While it earned him an offical warning for excessive damage, it brought the public eye to him through the news reports. Though the match wasn't high in the ranks, his skill as a pilot was very noticable indeed.
With income in hand, he laid down a great portion of his funding for a fresh transport, a Whale King, coloured in a deep ocean blue. Two more battles filtered through, both teams seeking to captialise upon his newcomer status, believing his skill beginners luck. He trounced them both throughly, leaving their zoids crushed, one of them beyond repair for how badly his 60 millimetre cannon shredded their joints and armaments with accuracy only a true vetern could show. People had begun to take notice, rumours popping up in and around taverns and bars with access to the battles about this new guy upon the block.
His team began to grow as another pilot, operating freelance until she found someone with decent enough skill to impress her. She too, had been leaving a swathe of destruction in her path, but her battles were rare enough that she never gained true fame. Sarah Harnes, pilot of a very rare and extremely devastating Kentros. She was ex military, though from what side she never revealed, honourably discharged after her stint expired. She had a good head upon her shoulders, and she was quick to the trigger, her accuracy outmatching his own by several points, though with the Kentros' main gun, it was hardly required.
Another battle and recognition was starting to get about. They were low rank, but the trail of damage the pair left in their wake had them constantly in the spotlight. Though never gaining a reputation of being truely ruthless, some regarded their tactics as unsporting. They had military training, and it showed in their fighting style, and the wrecked units of the enemy they left behind. Though it was never said they never showed mercy. On more than one occasion, an enemy unit was given the chance to surrender before they had to smash his unit too. Professional couresty, it seemed, wasn't welcome in the more casual battlefields of the weekend warriors the pair found in the battles. But more than a few warriors respected them for it.
Halfway to ranking up on the scale, the team was extended again. An older pilot, recommended by Sarah, had come out of temporary retirement to rejoin the ranks of warriors. The two knew each other, though they never said where from. Mike Hartos, 'Grey' as Sarah had nicknamed him from years past for the colour of his eyes brought a fouth member. Sali, Grey's younger sister, blind from birth had joined him. While blinded, she quickly set about making herself useful, settling in rapidly as the team's logistics and tactical officer. Not wanting to be left out from something her brother had, her nickname came about of her own choosing, just like his, her's reflected the colour of her eyes.
Team Echo was fully formed now, and they wasted no time in actively engaging enemy teams in battle. But gone was their facade of unskilled pilots treading too deep in the wide open waters. Teams were prepared for them come their first challenge as a full formed unit. The media leapt onto it with the urge of a blood scented piranha. An entire enemy team of three Dibisons, shot down in flames in under five minutes, each pilot scoring a kill apiece. It set the stage for their further encounters. Despite their bottom rank, with seven of the most devastating victories seen in years, higher ranked teams were just itching to try their luck.
Thus, we stand here, at the present moment.
